Teaches principles of modern physics. Includes in-depth coverage of relativity, quantum physics, solid state and nuclear physics. Lecture 3 hours per week. Laboratory 2-3 hours per week. Total 5-6 hours per week. For majors requiring calculus-based physics.

Prerequisite(s): PHY 241-PHY 242 or equivalent and readiness to enroll in ENG 111.
