Liberal Arts, Communications Specialization - Transfer, AA&S (650-02)

Designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a baccalaureate degree program, usually the bachelor of arts degree, in communications or related fields. Students in the communications specialization may wish to major in the following fields: communication, creative writing, journalism, mass media, popular culture, radio and telecommunications, speech or theatre arts.

Fourth Semester

  • Global Studies Elective 3 cr. 1
  • Foreign Language Elective 3 cr. 1
  • CST - Communications Elective 3 cr. 2
  • CST - Communications Elective 3 cr. 2

Semester Total: 16 Credits


Program Total: 61 Credits


1 Students may select an elective from the approved list in catalog.
2 The following courses may be used as communication electives: ENG 121, ENG 122, ENG 211 , ENG 212 , CST (any course).
3 A one-year sequence of biology, chemistry, geology or physics is recommended. However, depending on the requirements of four-year institutions, two one-semester courses in different sciences may be substituted with advisor approval.
