Science - Agriculture Science Specialization, AS

Program Description/Purpose: Designed for persons interested in agriculture programs who plan to transfer to an agriculture program such as nutritionist, pre-veterinary, agricultural scientist, agroecologist, biotechnologist, or other agriculture and life science programs.

Program Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will critically interpret scientific data in various formats.
  2. Students will demonstrate proficiency in scientific problem-solving.
  3. Students will recognize methods of inquiry that lead to scientific knowledge.
  4. Students will identify scientific principles.

Courses are displayed under the semester in which they are regularly offered and are recommended to be taken in this sequence to ensure timely graduation. It is possible that a course shown in a particular semester may not be offered due to low enrollment or other factors.

Program Curriculum


Program Total: 60 Credits


1 Must be MTH 161  or higher.
2 A full sequence of science with lab is required each year, one of which must be chemistry or physics.

3 Students should check with their transfer institution as Economics may be required.
