Program Description/Purpose: Exposes students to the theory and applications related to HVAC. The occupational objective of this certificate is to prepare students for entry-level positions in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Occupational Outcomes: Entry-level position in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Program Student Learning Outcomes

  1. Utilize circuit diagrams, electronic components, and circuits as applied to air conditioning.
  2. Use various test equipment and tools needed in the HVAC industry.
  3. Apply principles of heating and ventilation to installation, troubleshooting, and servicing at the component and system level.
  4. Apply principles of air conditioning systems to installation, troubleshooting, and servicing at the component and system level.
  5. Demonstrate principles and practices of general industrial safety.

Courses are displayed under the semester in which they are regularly offered and are recommended to be taken in this sequence to ensure timely graduation. It is possible that a course shown in a particular semester may not be offered due to low enrollment or other factors.
