The purpose of this career studies certificate is to provide students with foundation skills in finance, accounting, marketing, business law and human resources required to develop and open a business.

Certificate Curriculum

First Semester

BUS 116 - Entrepreneurship 3 cr.
BUS 241 - Business Law I 3 cr.
ITE 152 - Introduction to Digital Literacy and Computer Applications 3 cr.
MKT 100 - Principles of Marketing 3 cr.

Semester Total: 12 Credits

Second Semester

ACC 262 - Principles of Federal Taxation II 3 cr.
BUS 205 - Human Resource Management 3 cr.
FIN 215 - Financial Management 3 cr.

Semester Total: 9 Credits

Program Total: 21 Credits

Students who register for the Entrepreneurship Career Studies Certificate are also encouraged to take ACC 211 in addition to ACC 262 , although it is not a requirement.
