Program Description/Purpose: The Administration of Justice certificate program introduces students to multiple career and academic paths in the field of criminal justice.

Occupational Outcomes: Completing this program will help prepare students to obtain entry-level employment with law enforcement, courts, and corrections agencies.  For students currently working for criminal justice agencies, this program may fulfill the educational requirements for promotion or specialty positions.

Program Student Learning Outcomes: 

  1. Students will explain the structure and function of the U.S. criminal justice system.
  2. Students will identify key elements of criminology research and describe the role of criminology in the criminal justice system.
  3. Students will describe the roles and duties of personnel in criminal justice agencies and related organizations.

Courses are displayed under the semester in which they are regularly offered and are recommended to be taken in this sequence to ensure timely graduation. It is possible that a course shown in a particular semester may not be offered due to low enrollment or other factors.
