Program Description/Purpose: This career studies certificate aims to introduce students to the essential dimensions of business operations and related concepts.
Occupational Outcomes: Entry-level employment in business.
Program Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will apply basic principles and techniques of management to recruit, select, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate employees.
- Students will understand the economic, social, and political forces, both domestic and international, that affect the business enterprise.
- Apply principles and practices of accounting to analyze and interpret general-purpose financial statements.
Courses are displayed under the semester in which they are regularly offered and are recommended to be taken in this sequence to ensure timely graduation. It is possible that a course shown in a particular semester may not be offered due to low enrollment or other factors.

Program Total: 18 Credits
Students who register for the General Business Career Studies Certificate are encouraged to explore continued educational pathways into a two-year degree program. Completion of a degree may provide opportunities for workplace advancement. |
