Program Description/Purpose: Exposes students to the theory and applications related to HVAC. The occupational objective of this certificate is to prepare students for entry-level positions in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
Occupational Outcomes: Entry-level position in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
Program Student Learning Outcomes:
- Utilize circuit diagrams, electronic components, and circuits as applied to air conditioning.
- Use various test equipment and tools needed in the HVAC industry.
- Apply principles of heating and ventilation to installation, troubleshooting, and servicing at the component and system level.
- Apply principles of air conditioning systems to installation, troubleshooting, and servicing at the component and system level.
- Demonstrate principles and practices of general industrial safety.
