Program description/Purpose: This Career Studies Certificate is designed for those who seek employment in the field of cloud computing as well as for those who are currently in the technology field and wish to increase their knowledge and/or update their skills.  Cloud computing - which delivers vast data capacity to organizations of all sizes without requiring on-site servers - is considered one of the biggest growth areas in technology today.

Occupational Outcomes: Entry-level employment in the field of cloud computing.  Also for those in the cloud computing field who wish to update their skills.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will use operating systems including networking protocols, enterprise systems management, web server technologies, and cloud computing.
  2. Students will gain an overall understanding and overview of cloud computing concepts, core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. 

  • Courses are listed by the semester they are usually offered.
  • Course availability in a given semester may vary.
  • You can change the order or number of classes each semester, but taking fewer classes in a semester will mean more semesters to finish the program.
  • Please discuss your plan with your advisor to ensure it meets your academic goals.

Program Total: 16 Credits


*Credit for Certifications can be awarded for this course: ITN 257 - Cloud Computing: Infrastructure and Services ITN 260 - Network Security Basics ITN 270 - Advanced Linux Network Administration .

Course credit will be awarded for certifications issued within 5 years of the formal written request by a student. The formal request must include a statement that the student understands that credit for prior learning credit may not transfer to a 2-year college, 4-year college, or university.
