This program prepares students to seek employment or advancement in law enforcement and related agencies. Entry-level job opportunities for graduates include police officer, deputy sheriff, state trooper, correctional officer, dispatcher, security officer, loss prevention officer, records technician, and deputy court clerk.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:

Demonstrate knowledge of law enforcement administration and operations in relation to the criminal justice system.
Apply ethical principles to situations encountered in law enforcement.
Demonstrate knowledge of patrol procedures, criminal investigation and techniques, basic crime scene response and investigation, and forensic applications to law enforcement.
Demonstrate understanding of substantive law, procedural and evidentiary rules, and constitutional law principles.
Demonstrate understanding of community-law enforcement relationships.
Demonstrate understanding of criminology theories in relation to law enforcement.
