Basic Electronics Technician, CSC

Program Description/Purpose: This career studies certificate leads to entry-level employment in the electronics industry and provides the foundational knowledge and applied skills in basic electronic concepts, safety, D.C. and A.C. circuits, electronic components, and diagnostics. 

Occupational Outcomes: Upon completion of the career studies certificate, students are employable as entry-level electronics technicians and repair technicians.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Summarize principles of electronic and electrical theory.
  2. Use various electronics equipment and tools needed in the electronics industry.
  3. Install, modify, and troubleshoot circuits and electronics systems.
  4. Analyze and implement basic analog and digital electronic circuits.
  5. Demonstrate principles and practices of general industrial safety.

  • You can change the order or number of classes each semester, but taking fewer classes in a semester will mean more semesters to finish the program.
