Exposes students to theory and application related to the maintenance of heating, air conditioning, electrical systems and motors & welding. The occupational objective of this certificate is to prepare students for entry-level positions in industrial maintenance.

Certificate Curriculum

First Semester

ELE 133 - Practical Electricity I 3 cr.
SDV 101 - Orientation to Trades 1 cr. OR
SDV 100 - College Success Skills 1 cr.
Elective - Mechanical Engineering Technology 3-4 cr.²

Semester Total: 7-8 Credits

Second Semester

ELE 134 - Practical Electricity II 3 cr.
Elective - Mechanical Engineering Technology 3-4 cr.²
Internship OR Elective 3-4 cr.^1,2

Semester Total: 9-11 Credits
