Studies the gross, chemical, and microscopic techniques used in the clinical laboratory. Emphasizes study of clinical specimens which include the urine, feces, cerebrospinal fluid, blood, and body exudates. Introduces specimen collection and preparation. Lecture Hours: 2 Lab Hours: 2 Total Contact Hours: 4 Prerequisite(s): Must be enrolled in the AAS Medical Laboratory Technology program. An additional healthcare course specific fee of $50.00 per credit hour applies to this course.
