Program Description/Purpose: Provides educational opportunities for those who seek employment in the construction industry and for those who desire to upgrade their knowledge or acquire practical skills in the field.

Occupational Outcomes: Upon completion of this program, occupational objectives include construction/building inspector, construction estimator, draftsman/designer, engineer’s aide, engineering technician, or other related positions.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:

  1. Students will demonstrate the ability to correctly design and effectively communicate a true 3D parametric design of an architectural structure.
  2. Students will demonstrate the ability to determine the forces acting on members of a pin-connected structure due to externally applied loads.
  3. Students will demonstrate the ability to properly size a wide flange beam used in a floor system.
