Exposes students to theory and applications of basic electrical systems. The occupational objective of this certificate is to prepare students for entry-level positions in the electrical field.

This certificate can be completed in two semesters if the following conditions are met:

Students are willing to enroll in day and evening classes.
Students must take classes in the semesters they are listed.

First Semester

ELE 133 - Practical Electricity I 3 cr. *
ELE 149 - Wiring Methods in Industry 3 cr.
MTH 131 - Technical Mathematics 3 cr.
SAF 130 - Industrial Safety - OSHA 10 1 cr.
SDV 100 - College Success Skills 1 cr.

Semester Total: 11 Credits

Second Semester

ELE 131 - National Electrical Code I 3 cr. *
ELE 134 - Practical Electricity II 3 cr. *

Semester Total: 6 Credits

Program Total: 17 Credits
